On Saturday, a team from Lighthouse Community Centre CIC crossed the Tamar to serve on Plymouth soup run on an exceptionally busy Saturday night. The team served over 100 people with just enough food for everyone although the soup did run out, which is most unusual. 3 day riders were given out to people with appointments and 2 or more sleeping bags were also given out. It was so busy at the first stop it was hard to keep up with everybody.
As always a number of people needed to chat, explain things and ask for advice.
Many thanks to all the team and to the anonymous donors who have purchased sleeping bags and joggers from our Amazon wish list. The word ‘thank you ‘ no longer seems sufficient to thank everybody for their amazing generosity.
