This Saturday morning was the busiest to date with 35 people seen, 22 of them arriving in the first 50 mins. Sadly this reflects the high number of people who are currently #streethomeless. Every Wednesday, a team of volunteers from Mutley Baptist Church source, prepare and serve the food on Plymouth Soup Run. Last night, the team served 88 people plus10 extra bags of food collected for friends and family not able to get to the run. Many thanks to all who helped Bank Holiday Monday evening: Viv who led the Hope Baptist Church kitchen volunteers (Mary, Russ, Liz and Jean) preparing soup, hot dogs and angel delight, and the run team (Richard, Roy, Darren, Charlie and Will, with Prayer Pastors Carl and Bronia). It was a dry, busy Thursday night for the Callington Community team who crossed the Tamar and served 87 people on the streets of Plymouth. With plenty of food for all, the surplus was taken to George House. Two sleeping bags, toiletries, socks, underwear, dog and cat food also given out.
