Easter Bank Holiday Monday as every Monday was coordinated by #hopebaptistchurch.
Lorraine led The Salvation Army - Plymouth Whitleigh team and Louis our DofE student on food prep.
Grateful thanks to #JustChristmas ethical fair who funded the goodie bags, the serving team gave out (containing treats and toiletries as well as an Easter Egg). There was also a choice of fizzy drinks and pot noodles.
Ladies from HBC made pocket hugs 🤗🥰 for everyone. Huge thanks to all involved in gathering supplies!
StreetVet Kirsty and Leo were a welcome addition to the run.

Thanks to Steve there was an Easter egg for everyone who came to Plymouth Soup Run on Easter Day.
In contrast to Saturday, it was a beautiful clear night, with 104 people served on the Run plus 12 bags of food collected for family / friends.
As well as Easter eggs, there was a choice of three varieties of sandwich, pizza kindly donated by Domino's PizzaPizza, spicy lentil soup, fruit, yogurts and a snack bag. Hot drinks were also available.
2 sleeping bags were given out.
As always it was good to catch up with the people we serve to hear their news and, where necessary, to offer words of comfort and support.
Huge thanks to all the team who served on Easter Sunday. With special thanks to Elizabeth who arranged for the donation of pizzas and to our D of E student, Lexi , who helped to make up 120 snack bags.

On Saturday a team of volunteers from Lighthouse Community Centre CIC crossed the Tamar to serve on Plymouth Soup Run. It was an EXTREMELY windy evening with people struggling to stand up straight and keep hold of their food and drink.
Whilst 2 of the Soup Run stops were quite busy, 2 were quieter, so at the final stop there were some extras available.
60 people were served, including the meals collected for family / friends.
1 sleeping bag , some toiletries and clothes were also given out.
Many thanks to the team for their continued support every month and to Plymouth Methodist Central Hall for the use of their kitchen.
Wishing everyone a very Happy Easter.
Plymouth Soup Run will be out on Easter Day as usual.
And yes, there may be chocolate!!

A steady stream of people, 25 , came to Shekinah on Saturday morning to enjoy a full English breakfast that included mushrooms and cheesy hash browns. #charlieede received many compliments for his cooking.
8 people had a shower with lots of people having clean clothes.
2 people had a token for the launderette and another 2 people had a rucksack.
At the end of the morning a packed lunch was available for everyone who wanted one.
2 referrals will be made to Path Devon and Plymouth City Council.

It was a relatively busy Friday evening for the team from Plymouth Christian Centre who served 70 + meals. As always the team had some tasty food, including leek and potato soup, lentil curry and salmon en croute with new potatoes. The drinks included the ever popular hot chocolate plus a selection of cold drinks.
5 sleeping bags were given out and some clothes and toiletries.
Once again the 2 new ‘Plymouthians’ on the Hoe were keen to join in for the team photo.

It was a slightly quieter Thursday night for the team from the the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with 66 people served, including the double bags collected for family/ friends. The team had catered for 100 so the extra food was taken to George House at the end of the evening with some bananas also given to the weekend team.
3 sleeping bags and 1 blanket were given out plus some gloves, socks and hats. The weather remains cold in the evenings and overnight.
As always, some people stayed for a chat and to share life’s ups and downs. Plymouth Soup Run is about so much more than food, providing a consistent friendly face and a listening ear.

As always on Wednesday a team from #mutleybaptistchurch collected, prepared and served the food on @Plymouth Soup Run. The first stop was the busiest with 44 people waiting there.
71 people were served during the evening with another 6 bags collected for family members.
3 sleeping bags were given out plus lots of toiletries and clothes.

It was an exceptionally busy Tuesday evening for the volunteers from St Matts Plymouth who served over 100 people. The team set out with plenty of food but by the last stop it was starting to run low. However, there was food for everyone.
As always the Saint Matt‘s team had a great selection of hot food, including chicken curry, pizza, pies and pasta all served with a selection of vegetables. Home-made soup, sandwiches and snack bags were also available.
Three sleeping bags, a few clothes and some toiletries were given out. Two referrals were made to Path Devon.
On the Hoe, the team were joined by two new volunteers. See if you can spot them in the photo!

Monday night saw a particularly busy first stop, especially for #StreetVet Kathryn and Alice. Gabby and Alex, our Prayer Pastors were able to chat and listen as folks voiced their concerns, particularly over family illnesses. There was much appreciation and gratitude for Plymouth Soup Run, the soup, abundance of hot chicken and milky hot chocolate too.
89 people were served (Inc 9 extra bags for friends/family).
One sleeping bag was given out.

As is so often the case Sunday evening on Plymouth Soup Run was the busiest night of the week with 95 people served plus another 5 meals collected for family / friends.
The regular team were once again joined by STORM running and together prepared plenty of food. There was a choice of 3 varieties of sandwiches, a selection of hot items including chicken, quiche, pasties and sausage rolls, snack bags, leek and potato soup, hot and cold drinks, hard boiled eggs and yogurts
Last night 2 people presented with health concerns both of which are being followed up with the HIPP team.
2 sleeping bags were given out with updates on people newly #streethomeless sent to Path Devon.

It was an extremely busy Saturday morning for Plymouth Soup Run volunteers and the 2 podiatrists from Forgotten Feet - Helping Homeless Feet. 28 people were served during the morning with 18 people through the door in the first 15 minutes. 11 people had their feet treated.
7 people had a shower and lots of clothes were given out.
2 referrals will be made to Path Devon.

Once again the team of cooks from Plymouth Christian Centre were busy on Friday afternoon preparing the food for their weekly Plymouth Soup Run. On the menu - Spiced Halloumi Wraps with sweet chilli cabbage and roasted veg, Lentil and Tomato soup and a choice of cheese and onion or ham and cheese sandwiches. Plus a selection of hot drinks. 64 people were served during the evening with another 14 meals collected for family / friends.
The Lentil and Tomato soup was very popular and some people, who had never eaten Halloumi before, were keen to try it.
2 sleeping bag and lots of toiletries were also given out.

For the 2nd time in 3 days a business team have sourced, prepared and served the food on Plymouth Soup Run. On Thursday a team from #thecornwallbakery served 72 people with another 9 meals collected for family / friends.
The team had lots of food. There were 6 varieties of sandwiches and wraps and 3 types of hot pasties or slices for people to choose from. Plus a snack bag, chicken soup, which received many compliments, and hot drinks.
As the team had plenty of food everyone at the last stop was able to have something extra with the remaining food shared between George House BCHA and the Saturday morning Soup Run session at Shekinah.
Many thanks to the Cornwall Bakery for their support, not only
serving on the Run but also regularly supplying Soup Run teams with pasties, slices and sausage rolls.

It was a calm, quiet, cold but dry night on Wednesday for the team from #mutleybaptistchurch. 54 people were served during the evening with another 10 meals collected for family / friends.
There were no requests for sleeping bags but 2 people asked to be referred to Path Devon, so an early morning welfare call could take place on Thursday morning, when the Rough Sleepers Team do their rounds.
As always on a Wednesday there were lots of clothes available, with socks being the most requested item.

After a few nights of good weather, it was a very windy but mostly dry night, for the team from Plymouth Citybus.
As usual, when the bus arrived, everyone was delighted to see it. One person was so pleased they thought they would like to join the team so they could go to the 4 stops and help serve.
After a busier couple of nights, it was quieter again, with 61 people served between the 4 stops plus another 9 meals collected for family / friends. There was plenty of food, as the team had catered for more people, so everyone at the last stop had some extra food.
Citybus were joined by Darren from the HIPP team, Health Inclusion Pathway Plymouth, offering support and connection to other services in the city.

Prayer Pastors Simon and Richard were keen to listen to the many who shared their hopes and concerns. Once again it was good to hear that 1 person now has accommodation and we were proudly shown the keys.
It is always good to partner with the StreetVet Plymouth who were particularly busy at the first stop.
The Dockyard Prep team were led by Viv and supported by Steph, Sammy and #DofE student Louis.
Out on the run was a team from #LandRegistry Plymouth. Josh was the team leader.

A HUGE thank you to Sarah at Harbourside Fish & Chips for coming to the rescue of Plymouth Soup Run on Sunday. With no gas at Shekinah, where we prepare the food, we didn’t know how we would feed everyone but Sarah very generously donated 105 portions of chips and sausages. Thanks also to #charlieede who kindly took all the soup home and heated it up so there was plenty of hot food available.
Meanwhile the team were busy making sandwiches, hot drinks and serving on the night. We were pleased to welcome Lexi, our new DofE student who, together with Finn helped to bag everything up. There was plenty of fruit, thanks to FareShare South West and a dessert for everyone thanks to Rex Down Fish Merchants.
During the evening Calum from #BsBHarchesterFC kindly delivered a donation of baked beans collected by the team together with lots of reusable cups.
After a much quieter week, It was a busy evening with 109 people served and another 10 bags of food collected for family members.

Many thanks to the team from #plymstockunitedchurch who prepared and served the food on a calm, happy Saturday evening. It was another quieter evening with 55 people served at Plymouth Soup Run plus 10 meals collected for family / friends. The bacon and vegetable soup was very popular.

It was a slightly different Saturday morning at Shekinah, as we arrived to find there was no gas!! The menu was quickly changed from a full English to baked beans, scrambled eggs and toast. There was also plenty of cereal, fruit, biscuits and hot drinks available as well.
22 people were served during the morning and everyone was so understanding about the changes.
