Plymouth soup run is a community and faith driven service providing free food and hot drinks to homeless, hungry and vulnerable people 365 days a year

On Easter day 64 people were treated to a meal of roast lamb, new potatoes and mixed vegetables, followed by rice pudding.  The meal was provided by St Mary and St George’s Coptic Orthodox Church in Plymouth who knew Mariam (from the Coptic Orthodox Church in Birmingham) was in catering.  So they arranged for her to drive down to Plymouth, cook and serve the Easter feast.  Mariam, husband and three children drove down in the afternoon and straight back afterwards!  Truly amazing.  There was a lovely atmosphere during the evening, particularly when everyone thanked Marian, her family and the church for their kindness and generosity.
